At Page Bros, we take cybersecurity seriously. Following a detailed re-audit, we’re proud to announce that we’ve successfully renewed our Cyber Essentials Plus certification. This UK government-backed standard verifies our protection of systems, data, and clients against common cyber threats.
Over the past few months, our technical team have worked closely with independent auditors to review every aspect of our IT infrastructure. Every in-scope device, network, and piece of software was tested, analysed, and, where needed, improved to meet the strict criteria of the scheme. The process not only validated our current controls but also helped us identify opportunities to strengthen our defences even further.
What is Cyber Essentials Plus?
Cyber Essentials Plus is the highest level of certification under the government’s Cyber Essentials scheme. It involves a hands-on technical audit to verify that the five essential security controls are in place and effective in practice. These are:
- Boundary Firewalls & Internet Gateways – Protecting our systems from unauthorised access and malicious traffic.
- Secure Configuration – Ensuring systems are built and maintained securely, reducing potential vulnerabilities.
- User Access Control – Restricting access to approved users and ensuring permissions are granted on a need-to-use basis.
- Malware Protection – Preventing, detecting and removing malicious software before it can cause harm.
- Patch Management – Keeping all software up to date to close known security gaps and prevent exploitation.
