We’re proud to announce a major new investment in a HEIDELBERG Speedmaster XL106-5+L, replacing our existing HEIDELBERG CX102, as part of our wider three-year, £7 million investment strategy. This programme is focused on growing, evolving, and expanding Page Bros into new markets and represents another important milestone in our journey.
This latest investment follows a period of significant momentum across the business, alongside recent mergers and acquisitions that continue to strengthen our capabilities, scale, and long-term ambition.

A boost to performance
The new XL106 brings a step change in performance for Page Bros. Its increased efficiency enables faster and more dependable delivery schedules, consistently higher-quality print outcomes, and greater flexibility across our production operations. Importantly, the press also uses less energy and generates less waste, supporting our sustainability goals and those of our customers.
“The XL106 will give us unmatched speed, flexibility, and quality, allowing us to take on larger, more complex projects and deliver them faster and more sustainably than ever before. This expansion isn’t just about meeting our clients’ needs today; it’s about anticipating tomorrow’s demands and positioning ourselves ahead of the curve,” says CEO Alex Tuya.
The Speedmaster XL106 is built on HEIDELBERG’s globally recognised ‘Peak Performance’ platform and is widely regarded for its reliability, innovation, and productivity. Supported by HEIDELBERG’s strong UK service infrastructure, it offers excellent value and aligns perfectly with our operational needs and long-term strategy.
A commitment to sustainability and our people
The press’s advanced automation can reduce make-ready times by as much as 40%, while inline controls minimise paper waste at job start-up. In practice, this delivers tangible gains across the business — more work per shift, higher job volumes, faster turnaround times, and streamlined colour management that ensures consistency across long runs and repeat orders.
Our team has embraced the investment with real enthusiasm.
“Our operators will benefit from its modern automation and user-friendly control systems,” says Spencer Armes, Chief Operating Officer at Page Bros, “making their work more efficient and less physically demanding. For our customers, this investment represents a commitment to quality, reliability, and service and the assurance of a print partner ready to grow with them.”
“This investment will also help future-proof our operations, ensuring we can remain agile and competitive in a dynamic and evolving market,” says Alex. “We believe the right technology partners are essential to delivering real value for our clients, and HEIDELBERG has been a long-standing, trusted partner to Page Bros. Their service, support, and reliability – combined with a shared commitment to sustainability and innovation – make them the ideal fit.”
HEIDELBERG has welcomed the continued partnership.
“The Speedmaster XL 106 offers a range of compelling advantages,” says Phil Buttress, Head of Sales at HEIDELBERG UK. “It combines outstanding energy efficiency with exceptional print quality and high performance. We value our long-standing partnership with Page Bros and are pleased they have selected HEIDELBERG for this investment.”

A shared vision of growth for the group
To mark this significant milestone, we invited Art Angels (our sister publishing company acquired in 2024) to attend a press pass, taking the honour of being the very first job to run on the new XL106. Art Angels has been central to our expansion into the greetings cards and publishing sector, and it feels especially fitting that they will be the first to see what this new press can deliver.
“It’s an exciting time to be part of the Page Bros Group, as our business grows, the demand for litho print inevitably grows with it.” Comments Rory Hill, Business Development Manager at Art Angels.
This event celebrates not just the investment in new equipment, but the collaboration across the Page Bros Group. Our businesses support each other, grow together, and create opportunities that extend beyond a single press or project. This is a moment that showcases the full strength and ambition of the group, which includes: Art Angels, BDH Tullford (BD&H), the integration of Swallowtail Print, and another acquisition finalising soon.
We’re proud of the progress we’ve made, grateful for the people and partners who have helped us get here, and excited about the opportunities ahead as we continue to grow, innovate, and invest for the long-term future of print.
