Capturing the beauty of Holkham Hall in print
There’s something special about Holkham Hall. Nestled on the north Norfolk coast, the Palladian estate is surrounded by miles of parkland, beach and wildlife. It’s a place that deserves to be experienced slowly, and savoured.
When we were asked to help capture Holkham Hall in a visitor’s guidebook, we immediately knew it needed to be a really beautiful piece of print.
Working closely with the design team at Ark, we supported every stage of the print journey, ensuring the finished guide didn’t just look great, but felt right in the hands of its readers.
In the details
For us, print is never just about ink on paper. It’s about the texture, the weight, the way a page turns. For Holkham’s guide, paper choice was crucial. After testing and samples, we sourced a recycled offset stock that gave the perfect balance between sustainability and tactility. It carried the colour photography with depth and richness, while giving text a crisp clarity.
We added ribbon markers for a touch of elegance and practicality, fold-out pages for immersive spreads, and ensured the perfect binding gave durability without compromising on feel. Every detail was carefully considered, right down to the way the book opens in the hand.
